I am the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of college-preparatory non-profit REACH Memphis, on which I’ve served for eight years; a member of the Memphis Advisory Board of Facing History & Ourselves; and a former member of the Sycamore View Club Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis. For the past ten years, I have coached moot court and mock trial teams for the Black Law Students’ Association at the University of Memphis, both of which qualified for national competitions in 2021. I also have taught at the University of Memphis Law School as an Adjunct Professor. The Memphis Law Professional Development Program named me its 2021 “Mentor of the Year.” The Memphis Bar Association awarded me the 2021 Sam A. Myar, Jr., Award for “outstanding service to the legal profession and the community.” I am a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

I am an alumnus of national, state, and local leadership programs, including the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law Program, the Leadership Memphis Executive Program, and the New Memphis Institute’s Fellows Program. I am also a member of the Leo Bearman, Sr., American Inn of Court. I currently serve on the Board of Governors of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Board of Directors of the Memphis Bar Association, and the Alumni Council of the University of Tennessee College of Law.
